Fishing is starting to heat up as spring is right around the corner. During the spring bait is plentiful matched with good weather days and the fishing can be great. The redfish and snook were very aggressive eating artificial lures all day long for these clients. The wind was keeping us cool and the fish were keeping us busy. These clients got to experience it all seeing lots of wildlife and catch a bunch of different species of fish most of which were large. We saw tarpon slowly starting to show up on their yearly migration south so tarpon season is right around the corner.

The day started off with a beautiful sunrise which was shortly followed by redfish tailing the flats. The fish were eating great and the sunrise helped us to get some great pictures. With a changing tide and 2 out of 3 species needed for a slam we decided to make a move to a spot where tarpon frequent and was immediately hooked up with our first tarpon. We ended up catching a couple more tarpon and some more redfish until it was time to head back to the dock which we pulled up to at 1:30pm. We saw numerous species of birds as well as stingrays, sharks, and dolphins.

Fishing has been great on the flats. Capt.Derek has been on the fish with some beautiful Snook and Redfish being caught and released. Summer is heating up and the permit and bonefish will as well.

June first opens keys to visitors and one of the best time for offshore fishing. Mahi are starting to come through with some nice fish in the mix and plenty of opportunity to fill the coolers. Book your trip for the best kind of social distancing.

Swordfishing has been amazing these last few weeks. We had an epic with catching 4 swordfish out of 6 bites and lost some really nice fish close to the boat. Our customer Mike caught his first swordfish with us and was more than happy. Tons of fresh fish to freeze and take home.
