Rainy days but fish still eat
August 16, 2016
Got on the water today with Rob and Bob from Oregon! The morning didn't look to great but I knew that these little morning storms don't last long and t has been beautiful afterward! So the rain let up and about stopped we arrived to the fishing grounds and it was slicked out! We started targeting tailing redfish and rolling tarpon! Hooking up with 5 tarpon and 6 redfish. We started moving on looking for snook that have been bedding up in the shallows and we came across a few of them! After catching 3 snook we wanted to go fill the box with trout and snapper! We left and went to a great snapper and trout spotted and ended up getting our limit on both species!

Another successful tournament!
August 7, 2016
Sunday was annual Redghost tournament in islamorada for junior Anglers! I had my repeat junior anglers that I charter monthly Gabriel and Reagan! We started out the morning running across Florida Bay! It was slicked out and we were trying to beat most of the boats that were in the tournament to the spots! started out the morning with huge schools of redfish averaging 34-40 inches in size and in school of 80-100 fish! We needed catching 8 redfish in 2 hours and then we saw a few schools of snook and tarpon and we just had to give them a shot! We joked 4 snooks and 5 tarpon on the flats! But these species didn't count it's a bonefish and redfish only event but when fishing is that good you just have to give them a shot! We left there before ending the day to try and target bonefish we had one come off but ended up catching a nice black drum and another redfish! Fishing is awesome right now so give me a ring and let's get you out on the water for some action!

Drumming!
August 6, 2016
Today I was able to get out on the water and target a few species that I haven't been fishing for because redfishing and snook fishing has been so hot lately! Started out the morning running from Everglades national park to the park boundaries line in islamorada to chase tailing bonefish! It's a rare thing to have them in the park but I have been able to locate them and man were they feeding! I poled uo within distance and pitched a bait to one tailing bone and he ate hard! The line screaming across the flat as he was stripping line off the reel! Finally boated him and released to fight another day! After seeing and having a few shots at tailing bonefish I decided to go chase a species that I see a lot of but never really target them only and that is the black drum! I decided to dedicate the rest of my day to catching these guys! Catching a total of 10 black drum ranging from 20 inches to 28 inches. All I was doing was pitching the jig up to them and they were inhaling it and taking off! It was nice to catch a few and also 2 redfish at the same time! Nice producing flat! Had to reel in the line at 430 to get to islamorada for the 2016 Redghost (redfish and bonefish junior tournament captains meeting) the tournament is on Sunday August 7! Looking forward to sharing the pictures of our tournament day!

Texas Doubles
August 1, 2016
Today I had the pleasure of guiding Dennis and his wife Lisa all the way from Texas! They were down for the day and wanted to spend a few hours out on the water! And boy was it a great day! We started the morning out on the flats showing them all that we have here in the Everglades and then they were ready to catch some of our monster redfish! We hooked up with double headers multiple times! Fish were blasting the water showing us where they were and we poled righg along the side of them pitching bait to them! Had them eat artificial and eat whole size tarpon crabs! It was an epic day on the water! Been guiding for a few days straight now and the fishing is just getting better and better everyday! So contact me and let's get you on some quality fish!

Raining fish!
July 19, 2016
Just another day in Everglades national park! Got out on the water today to go searching for some fish! The bite was super hot! We started out the morning tarpon fishing and we went 3 for 7 on the tarpon we just couldn't get the hook set on them big boys (ranging from 60-150 pounds) with this heat started to hit us I knew we had to catch them while they were here before it gets to hot and they go deeper. Then we went in search of redfish running into schools of **hidden content** fish each school! We spend a majority of the day catching these reds then targeted some snook and caught a 3 in an hour. But we were tired of sight fishing and wanted to go find some snapper to fill the cooler and we went and got on a spot and live baited the creek and caught 12 nice size keeper snapper! One of my best days in the park and it won't be my last! Pictures to come after ruining a camera

Sorry I've been away from the reports have been super busy with fishing! But fishing super hot right now! This has been one of the best spring and Summer's that I have witnessed in a while. Catching reds up to the 40 inch range and in double digits 20-50 fish a trip. And the snook are hitting hard right now as well as the tarpon ranging from 90-200 pounds! Come on out and let's get some fish to the boat!
