Ask your guide about what to expect, what you need to bring, what is biting etc. We took our children and told the guide we just wanted to be busy catching fish, he kept us on them and we were actually kinda wearing out at the end. 6 hours was perfect.

Be prepared to catch something- Sailfish are fin here but they are catch and release here nobody really uses a smoke house to harvest a sailfish in Key west. yellowtail are delicious off the reef!

Just to bring a hoodie or a windbreaker as it’s really cold when you’re traveling to or from the fishing spots. boring close to boat shoes, or water shoes would not recommend flip-flops, but I’m sure you can bring if that’s all you have. Also bring snacks.

Sometimes the fish are there, sometimes they are not. They were then when we went. We probably caught 35 Mangrove Snapper, several Yellowtail, Blue Racers, a Macherel and landed two Cobia. great day!
