Fishing Report:
This past week has been full of action and variety! Closer to shore, we’ve seen thicker schools of mullet moving in, and the nearshore wrecks have been producing plenty of sharks, smaller black sea bass, and other cool species with lots of barracuda hanging around. Spanish mackerel are still hanging around near the beach and are getting bigger, and we even caught a nice kingfish nearshore!
Further out, about 20 to 30 miles off the beach, the mahi bite has been strong. If you head out to the Frying Pan Tower, you’ll find big cobia, African pompano, and amberjacks. And if you venture all the way out to the Gulf Stream, you can expect some big grouper. Just a reminder, gag grouper season closes on June 26th, but you can still target scamp grouper until the end of the year. Plus, red snapper season is coming up, and we have availability on the 13th if you’re eager to get out there! Wahoo are also still running in the Stream, and with conditions really improving, it’s the perfect time to get out on the water and enjoy some fantastic fishing!
