Trip Summary

I had the pleasure to take 3 veterans and local police officers fishing today and we put the smack down on the white perch and crappie. The final count was over 205 fish boated during the 4 hour trip.

July is not usually a month to catch SLAB Crappie but we sure did today. We had some monster Lake Wylie Crappie & Perch plus enough Bass to win most Bass tournaments. It was HOT but we sure did catch some nice fish this morning.

The morning started out slow but patience paid off, as the afternoon bite picked up and we caught and released 3 Nice Flat Head Catfish plus numerous blue catfish. One of the flat heads weighed over 30 lbs and was landed by a 12 year old angler after a tremendous fight. We also boated a ton of perch, crappie and spotted bass during the trip.
