Trip Summary

Nicolas came for a few hour trip and wanted to do some casting. In less than 2 hours we had boated 2 bigeye trevallys and a nice sierra mackerel. We lost 2 more mackerels and had a couple more attacks. Super fun!

The red tide has cleared out and the fish are back in action. We had a killer day catching a pile of big jacks on live bait, jigs and topwater. We added on 1 baby rooster and a nice bigger 40 lb rooster along with a giant needlefish and a bigeye trevally. We had lots of topwater action and missed 5 giant mackerel where a couple of them were hooked up for a little bit. we all had a great time.

A great day filled with action. We started out with 4 skipjack tuna. We then went 2 for 3 on big blacktips before changing to another spot. The roosters eluded us but we were rewarded with a lot of medium sized jacks on both live bait and on the jigs!
