As we near the end of peak season for these great fighting fish, it is a rare treat to hook so many during one single 4-hour afternoon private fishing charter. Mahi Mahi are available year-round in the Riviera Maya, with their peak season occurring from late spring to early fall (approximately May through July/August), driven by warmer waters and increased baitfish. While they are still caught outside of these months, the abundance and consistency are lower during the less peak periods, such as January to February and October to December.
