Trip Summary
The inland lakes are really heating up with catches as the water temperatures are finally dripping. Live bait had been best with some bites on artificial lures as well. The perch and walleye are starting to group up in shallower waters between 35-20 FOW. Some perch up to 13” and walleye so far have been 15-19” with a few larger. Each week is getting better with the cooler water and fish starting to really want minnows to pack on weight for the winter. Other live bait working well is large crawlers and artificial jigs.
Trolling crank baits, large body baits and crawler harnesses in the evening has been good. Live bait doing most of the work under slip bobbers and vertical jigging in the mornings.
