THE CAPTAIN’S SANCTUARY: 6 Roosters and

Trip Summary

Where others see ocean, we see coordinates of glory. The morning started with an electric energy. The Needlefish were active, patrolling the surface and giving us the first bites of the day. But we don’t go out just to see what happens; we go out with a plan. Very early, the first Roosterfish made its appearance, marking the pace of what would be a historic day. When the area began to populate, the Captain took the helm and directed us towards “The Sanctuary”: a secret point that only his years of navigating these waters have allowed him to decipher. It is one of those places that others pass by, but for us it is synonymous with success. There, the action became frantic. Between the agility of the Needlefish and the brute force of the Jack Crevalles - two of whom gave such a dignified fight that they touched the leader before being released - the highlight was about to be served. When we moved to our last trusted spot, the sea simply opened for us. The final result speaks of a deep knowledge of the area and a crew that does not stop until they find the gold: 6 Roosterfish claimed and released! A morning where the Captain’s strategy beat the chance. Fishing Report: The Secret Spot Marathon • Technique: Live Bait & Tactical Inshore Trolling • Location: Captain’s Private Coordinates (Confidential) • The Vibe: Exclusive, high-paced, and dominant. The Final Scoreboard: • 6 Roosterfish: The kings of the shore, all sizes, all heart. • 3 Needlefish: Fast and fierce. • 2 Jack Crevalles: Pure muscle on the line. #SecretSpot #MathisLegends #CostaRicaFishing #PuraVida #JackCrevalle #InshoreAction #CaptainKnowledge #AnglerApproved

THE REDEMPTION RUN: Trade Winds and Roos
THE REDEMPTION RUN: Trade Winds and Roos
February 25, 2026
When the ocean pays its debts with interest. The sea has a curious way of testing us. Yesterday he gave us a lesson in silence: we were in the heart of a massive tuna patch that simply decided not to open its mouth, and a Sail Fish that escaped us in the last breath. But in Mathis Fishing Legends, we know that yesterday's "garrote" is just the prelude to today's glory. The morning began with a nostalgic atmosphere. We feel the trade winds, those gusts that smell like Christmas and that little by little were rising in tone to test us. The wind was blowing hard, but our determination was even more so. After an initial "bool" with the first Roosterfish, the Pacific finally opened its doors. We entered a surgical streak: four imposing and beautiful Roosterfish -With double included- that fought with the nobility that only this species possesses. To complete the picture, the Needlefish attacked with their usual precision and two Jack Crevalles reminded us of what a brute force fight means. What a way to change destiny! Fishing Report: The Alisios Victory * Technique: Coastal Trolling & Live Bait * Location: Costa Rican Pacific (Redemption Spot) * The Vibe: Nostalgic, windy, and absolutely triumphant. The Grand Slam Results: * 4 Trophy Roosterfish: A legendary streak that saved the week. * 3 Needlefish Action: Keeping the reflexes sharp. * 2 Jack Crevalles: Pure muscle in the surf. * The Context: From a "blank" day yesterday to a full house today. #RedemptionDay #RoosterfishStreak #AlisiosWinds #MathisLegends #CostaRicaFishing #PuraVida #SportfishingLife #AgainstTheWind #AnglerApproved

THE PACIFIC’S WILD SIDE: Swells, Grit,
THE PACIFIC’S WILD SIDE: Swells, Grit,
February 23, 2026
When the ocean tests your resolve, experience takes the helm. Today the Pacific showed us its wildest side. He received us with large waves of variable frequency and an “accomplice” wind that made each maneuver a tactical challenge. Under those conditions, working with the Billfish is like trying to paint a picture in the middle of an earthquake, but in Mathis Fishing Legends we are made of salt and persistence. Nature gave us a first look with a little Mahi-Mahi who approached curiously, but decided to just be a spectator of the “beauty” (our bait) in front of him. However, the main course was about to be served. Despite the boat’s bands, the adrenaline burst with two double spikes from Sailfish. In a sea like this, handling a double is a controlled chaos, and we manage to specify one of each pair to provide good action. We added two more individual visits: one that ended in “sancocho” (it escaped us by a hair!) And another successful release (Catch & Release). In the end, we made the most important decision of the day: return to port earlier than expected. When a user does not feel well due to the movement of the sea, their well-being is our absolute priority. No fish is worth more than the health and safety of those who trust us. We retired with our foreheads held high and our duty fulfilled. Fishing Report: The Heavy Swell Session • Conditions: Big waves, crosswinds, and challenging technical water. • The Vibe: Resilient, professional, and safety-first. • The Action: High-stakes double hook-ups in rough seas. The Scoreboard: • 3 Sailfish Released: From two intense double strikes. • 1 Sailfish Sancocho: A battle of wits that the fish won this time. • 2 Don’t eat. • The Decision: Early return to port prioritizing guest comfort and safety. #RoughSeas #SailfishAction #MathisLegends #SafetyFirst #PuraVida #SportfishingCostaRica #CaptainLog #GritAndSalt #AnglerApproved
