Fishing in Marathon, Florida is fantastic right now! After the recent major cold snap, it feels like someone hit the reset button on the fishing scene. Mangrove snapper are biting well around the backcountry and mangroves, and Spanish mackerel are schooling actively in the offshore waters. Goliath grouper have been spotted near the wrecks and ledges, providing some exciting opportunities for anglers. Plus, a variety of sharks are cruising the area, making for some thrilling catches. Overall, the cold snap has really stirred things up, creating excellent fishing conditions across the board.
