Family fun in the March sun

Luck had as much to do with it today as any day ever coming off two fishing trips, with less than favorable results today was one for the record books. His family of six had a blast, catching black drum and redfish with a fever days like this are where memories are made as the old saying goes, I would rather be lucky than good

I really was super excited about today's fishing trip because the weather was lining up perfectly and a crisp cool morning would lead to a warm midday. All the elements were in place, except for the fish had lockjaw, which did not dissuade this family of five as they had a really good time spending time together on the beautiful San Antonio Bay. There were a few fish caught, but like I said, it was very slow and un planned. My hope was to put these three kids on some solid speckled trout. We had to settle with a few bites here and there and some smaller trout, but they had a good time and a great spring break.

after scouring the Bay the day before in finding only small trout, I reached out to one of my long time guide friends who gave me a tip, which worked out well today this is a team effort, sport, and I'm glad we can share back-and-forth. The information worked out perfectly for us as we put a three man limit for each of the guys 15 fish total and we were still catching and releasing. What a day what a team what a great group of guys.
