Trip Summary
There are mornings when the sea feels like a blank page, keeping silent as if waiting for the perfect moment to start writing. We began our day searching for the rhythm, testing baits that the ocean decided to ignore today. But at Mathis, we know that magic isn't found; it’s provoked. We navigated through the floors of this glass building until we found the signs of life—the prelude to what was about to unfold.
Under the tactical direction of our mate Mauro, we decided to change the pen and the pace. As we launched the new strategy, the Pacific responded with authority: four monumental Roosterfish (between 30 and 40 lbs) claimed their place in our story. Among them, a 20-lb Spotted Rose Snapper emerged from the depths to be the perfect gift for a birthday guest who only asked for something to share at the table. The day transformed into a festival of "doubles" and adrenaline, with Jack Cravelles striking poppers with relentless strength. In the end, we returned to the coast not just with an abundant catch, but with the promise of a fresh lunch and a heart full of stories.
Daily Log:
14 Jack Cravelle (Average 20 lbs)
4 Roosterfish (30 - 40 lbs)
1 Guacamayo / Spotted Rose Snapper (20 lbs)
2 Needlefish
