Trip Summary

September SLABS!!! 3 We have been hooking into some big Chinook Salmon in the mid to high twenties this week. Yesterday morning both these Kings (26lb & 22lbs) turned and burned, peeling line almost into our backing making for some screaming reels (best sound), tired arms and big slabs for thee guests to take home Nice work, guys!

Happy to report the Chinook Salmon fishing is still very strong here in Sooke. All our boats and were reporting guests hooking up this morning on and action packed bite windows with some September Slab fights and early morning screaming reels . We love seeing it and love that sound! Nice work out there guys.

Our guests had a great afternoon fishing yesterday with a number of coho and chinook salmon and yellowtail landed and retained, including this 24lb Chinook that was also a first salmon ever!

THEY DO EXIST!!!! Captain Cam put his guests on a fish of a lifetime yesterday! This chinook Salmon weighed in at just under 40lbs and was carefully released. A record tyee for the season and a fish of a lifetime for our guest. Congrats!
