Trip Summary
Greetings!
Glades fishing has been great in between 20 knot wind days... Fierce winds have forced me to find fish both deep in the Everglades backcountry as well as hidden creeks and outflow areas in Cape Sable. Fly fishing has taken off for my business, clients are appreciating catching Snook, Speckled Trout and many other species on 6- 8 weight fly gear. When fly is not an option, we've given lot's of work to my IRT 300 series reels, mostly on 40b floru leader and 20 lb braided POWERPRO line.
On a recent 1/2 day trip Brad and Ang' from Ohio picked up a nice pair of Black Drum on IRT 300's with 40 lb leader and 20 lb braided line. Although the conditions were not ideal, we were able to hide a bit until the fishing picked up! All in all, my favorite team from Ohio ended with 20+ fish and had a ball! They took their fresh catch to a local seafood spot and enjoyed a fresh fish dinner they caught on their own!
I have some days open this month and the last week in March WIDE open, book with us today and "fish the legend", my new 18 Maverick HPX- Indeed a world class rig!
