A report of fishing from Brigantine over the past week. It has been a tough for fluke fishing the back bays. We have only caught about 65 short fluke and one keeper the entire week. There were also a few small seabass, sand sharks, and sea robins to keep things a little interesting. We did one ocean trip and found some sea bass on the last day where we could keep the 15 fish limit, but we did not catch any fluke off the wrecks. The fluke usually are off them by now, but maybe they are still holding on the inshore structure. I might try that tactic the next time out.
