Trip Summary

We headed out with a very flat sea and some current and decided to work the weedline we found after about an hour of trolling.We took the right option as we caught 2 very nice 20 lbs dorados in quick succession and it was very pleasing to see them doing all their acrobatics.Shortly after we found a school of skipjack tunas and we hooked 3 and caught 2 of them.We thought it was worth trying livebaiting with.With reports from other boats being not good we trolled with the live baits for about two hours but the marlins did not show up.Just before switching back to lure trolling we spotted some birds working an area,we got closer and saw 2 Dorados that were chasing flying fishes and caught both to the delight of our Polish customers.

Having caught a few big skipjack tunas,a yellowfin tuna and a blue marlin a few days earlier,Mr JP got lucky again.After a late start reports of boats that went out earlier was not good with not much activity.We decided to troll very close to the dropoff but it was very calm,no birds around. Just as we decided to change area we were pleased to hear the short rigger reel start screaming.It took our customer about 30 minutes to get the average sized blue marlin on the boat.

On a calm sea we spotted a pod of dolphins on the hunt and on our first round we had a strike on the shot gun lure.Our regular guest got on the fighting chair for his morning workout.It took about 20 minutes to get the 85lbs tuna onboard.We kept working the area but the activity calmed down.We trolled to a different area and were rewarded with a blue marlin.

Our regular guest Mr Tim got to fight an estimated 400lbs black marlin,a dorado and 10 wahoo on the first trip.After a slow morning ,activity wise, we found the hungry fishes on our way back in.On the second trip we caught a big skipjack and used it as live bait with no success.Third trip we had an early fight with a 500lbs blue marlin that took the long rigger lure and ended the trip with a small skipjack and a 60lbs yellowfin tuna just before lines out.
