Out for a 6 hrs trip after a few days of northerly choppy seas and the fishes were here.Caught a wahoo early on the dropoff then moved to the deeper waters but there was not much happening. So, we moved back to the dropoff and were lucky to catch a blue marlin and a skipjack tuna.

For this afternoon trip the sea conditions were very good but in the first two hours of the trip there were some birds around and some skipjacks jumping but nothing was biting. Not having much time left we kept searching along the dropoff and luckily things changed and we ended the trip with 4 bonitos and 5 wahoos.

After a few bad days fish wise,we were out again on the water. For this 8 hr trip we headed to the deep waters as there was no surface action along the drop-off. After about an hour we came across a school of sailfishes that were feeding on small baitfishes but they were not interested in our offerings.After a few turns we continued and saw another group of birds a bit further away. As soon as we got where they were we saw a blue marlin behind the long rigger lure and he immediately took it. It was game on with the fish doing a lot of jumps.Our fishingbooker customer did a very good job on the fighting chair and about 40 minutes later the estimated 300lbs blue marlin was on the boat. We kept trolling and caught 3 dorados and also 1 skipjack. Mr Alec and his wife Anne Marie were on their honeymoon and it was a very nice present. What makes that day even more special is that is was off season....Some are really lucky we can say. Looking forward to the next one with the same determination,patience and luck.
