Trip Summary

I took two dads and their sons out on was a great or terroble weather day, depending on what weather App. you use. My App. showed great weather and it was a truly great July 3rd! We caught dinner and plenty of throwbacks and a bunch of sandsharks. There were lots of misses, too. While we started early, boat traffic picked up alot. Water was 68 degrees and cloudy. I decided to brave the band of near-breakers at Longport’s south end to see what the ocean was holding. It was flat, but no birds and no bunker. We traveled back in and fished behind Margate where a few more shorts were brought in. I by-passed the croaker bite for fluke, today. I realized last werks preferred Gulp color has changed. A new bait was also used. Everything came together for a great trip!
