At customer's request we made it a 5 hour trip so we could fish both offshore for a couple of hours and ICW for a couple of hours. (Yes, I'll customize a trip for you). It started as an ICW charter but the big pond was just too inviting. We ran out to one of the close in artificial reefs (a friend and charter boat capt. was already on a good bite there) and it was game on with weakfish, bluefish, smallish black sea bass and small (under 5 #s) red snapper. We were fishing in 60 feet of water with 10# spinners so it was really fun on these fish. After a couple of hours and some moving around we decided to go back into the ICW and try for some redfish on the slack low tide. I slipped up into a creek and quietly got anchored next to a deep hole and we started catching good reds within a few minutes. We caught 8 very good reds within the next hour or so (and lost a few too), 2 over slot (over 27"), 2 between 26 and 27", 2 between 24 and 25, and 2 between 22 and 24". We kept 5 releasing the over slots and one of the 24 inchers (the 24" fish that was released was caught on 4# line). We had a ball. April and May trips are filling up fast.
