Goodness we got into some big ones. We caught several bluegill knocking closely on the door of 10”, which in Michigan means Master Angler bluegill. A few solid green sunfish added to the fun. Mosly spawned out females and males. A few large females still had eggs and were promptly released. On lightweight fly and spinning equipment these things are a battle!

This Spring, and almost Summer, has been prolonged into what I can best describe as consistently inconsistent fishing. It has not stopped us from catching fish, just made things a little more challenging is all. Those willing to stay the course and put in time are rewarded!
