Trip Summary

It was an early start, but the crew and I were eager to get out on the water for today's 5 Hour (AM)Fishing Trip with Today We Fish Charter and Adventures. March in South Padre Island, Texas is prime time for fishing, with warming waters drawing in a variety of species. As the morning fog burned off and the skies started to clear, we headed out, ready to chase whatever the day had in store. We tried a mix of techniques - drifting, jigging, and light tackle fishing - covering different depths to find the fish. While we managed to land 12 Trout to take home and alot of small ones, we still had a great time out on the water. The conditions were ideal, with clear, calm seas that made for a comfortable and enjoyable day. Between drifts and casts, we took in the scenic Texas coastline and shared stories, just relishing the chance to be out on the water With their familytogether. The trip was a success in my book. Fishing is about more than just the numbers - it's about the overall experience, the time spent with good company, and simply getting to enjoy a beautiful day on the water. That's what makes a trip like this so special, and why I love being able to share it with anglers of all skill levels. What a day out on the water with Jeremy! We headed out for a 5 Hour (AM) Bay Fishing Trip with Today We Fish Charter and Adventures, and the fishing was on fire. The weather was a little iffy, with some storms rolling through, but we managed to time it just right and stayed dry the whole trip. As soon as we got the lines in the water, the action started. We tried a mix of techniques - jigging, light tackle, and drift fishing - to really cover all our bases and find what the fish were dialed into that day. It wasn't long before Jeremy's rod bent and he hooked into a feisty Redfish. That fish put up one heck of a fight, but he stuck with it and landed it beautifully. We high-fived and got the lines back in the water, and soon after, his buddy hooked into a nice Spotted sea Trout The two of them were trading fish back and forth, keeping us all laughing and having a great time. Throughout the trip, we made some adjustments to our approach and technique to stay on the fish. The weather did its best to throw us some curveballs, but we just rolled with the punches and kept focusing on putting these guys on the bite. And you know what they say - when the fish are biting, nothing else matters! We had a blast working the water, feeling the pull of those strong fish, and sharing some awesome memories out on the bay. If you're looking to experience some of the best fishing South Padre Island, TX has to offer, you've got to check out the 5 Hour (AM) Bay Fishing Trip with Today We Fish Charter and Adventures. We had a great day of fishing on the waters around South Padre Island, Texas. As a guide with Today We Fish Charter and Adventures, I was excited to take Melanie and David out for our 5 Hour (PM) Bay Fishing Trip. May is a solid time for this type of light tackle fishing, with the warmer waters and seasonal patterns bringing in some great inshore action. We met up at the South Padre Island launch point and got everyone situated and ready to go. The cloudy skies didn't dampen our spirits, as the calm conditions and good water clarity had us feeling optimistic about finding the fish. We started off drifting and jigging, working different depths and structure to locate the Spotted Trout and Redfish that were our primary targets. It didn't take long before the rods started bending, and we were into some quality fish. The light tackle fishing kept things exciting, with the fish putting up a great fight on the relatively thin line. Melanie and David were both new to this style of fishing, but they picked it up quickly and did an awesome job landing the fish. We had a steady pick of Spotted Trout and Redfish throughout the trip, making for some great action and variety. In between the bites, we enjoyed taking in the coastal scenery and having some great conversations. Overall, it was just an awesome day on the water. The fishing was solid, the company was great, and we all left with smiles on our faces. If you're looking to experience the best of South Padre Island's inshore fishing, I can't recommend our 5 Hour (PM) Bay Fishing Trip enough. Whether you're an experienced angler or just looking to try something new, we'll make sure you have an unforgettable time on the water. Book your trip with Today We Fish Charter and Adventures today, and let's go chase some Spotted Weakfish and Redfish!
