Trip Summary

Great day of fishing on Lake Wylie for Crappie, Perch and Big Blue Catfish. We did a split trip of crappie & perch fishing in the morning and cat fishing in the afternoon. We caught some nice crappie and perch but the Big Arkansas Blue CATFISH were the star of the trip. Given the wind blew 10-15 mph with gusts to 25 during the trip, we were pretty excited to catch a cooler full of crappie & perch plus catch and release several big catfish.

We absolutely hammered the Catfish on Lake Norman today. We caught over 250 lbs+ of Catfish in a 4 hour Trip. We had numerous Blue Cats over 20 lbs but the Big fish of the day was a Massive 41.5 lb Flathead. In addition to catching all these Blues and flat-heads, we also caught 9 very nice Channel Cats in the 3-8 lb range. All the fish were photographed and released to fight again another day.
