We had 2 fish in less than 30 minutes. Know one else had any fish yet. It was a windy afternoon and Happy Hooker (Peter) torpedoed us head on so he could copy our route. Not good outcome. We had no choice to run over his planner board and rope ended up around our lines and down rigger cables. What a mess. We were left with no lines in water for a hour. Joe got us back on course and caught 5 more fish. If you don’t want to catch fish go with happy hooker. They came up empty! Great job Joe!!!

I booked this trip for my husband & 2 sons ( ones autistic),  they had such an amazing time, I’d give him 10 stars!  They learned a lot about the lake, & caught many fish. This by far was the best money I spent in Duluth.  His staff Jack & Fiancé were so kind, great people they can’t wait to do it again. Bonus is they were understanding to my son with autism so that makes a mom proud. ( other boats went out & didn’t catch fish) Thank you all for the memories... More

My husband and I totally enjoyed ourselves and Captain Joe was very accommodating and fun.  We caught enough fish to fill my freezer with beautiful salmon.  His boat is comfortable and he is very attentive to what his customers want.  However bring your sense of humor this guy is jokester and if you place a bet with him, beware of the shanagins he comes up with to win.  Highly recommend him and his crew.  Adam was on point every time with the net to bring in our catch.
