We recently spent a week in Destin with another couple. My buddy and I decided to book a last minute half day bay fishing trip. I had contacted an outfitter and they gave me Capt Dalton’s contact info as a reference. As luch would have it we were able to book it. Unfortunately there was no live bait to be had that morning. Still within 30 minutes Capt Dalton had us on fish. We caught half a dozen spotted trout which we could have continued catching. Our goal was to catch a red fish. In order to do so we had to catch some bait fish which we did. Despite Capt Dalton’s efforts we tried multiple methods and locations with no luck. He was generous in extending our trip an extra hour which he did not have to do. I recommend booking with Capt Dalton for he has an extensive knowledge of the bay and tributaries. Although we did not catch red fish, it was not for lack of trying. That is why they call it “fishing” and not “catching”.

My husband, myself, and our 11 year d enjoyed our morning Inshore fishing trip. Dalton was great! We caught so many fish, my son even caught a sting ray which he thought was “so cool”(of course we let it go). The weather was perfect, the boat was in tip top shape, the fish were biting, Dalton was great with our son, etc.! We will be calling him when we come back next year for our Summer beach Vacation and booking with him again! Highly recommend booking with Dalton!

We booked this trip to make up for my son’s broken arm on vacation, and it did not disappoint! Dalton was personable, patient with our 4 year old has he re-learned fishing with his non-dominant hand, even providing basic instruction on par with a fishing lesson. He made sure we all caught several fish. His highest priority was our good time! He kept active watch on the weather and rescheduled to ensure maximum fishing time as well as safety, even with a huge storm coming in. He was knowledgeable about fishing but down to earth enough to feel like we were fishing with a friend. We can’t recommend him enough, especially if your group has kids!

This was our second trip with Captain Dalton.  My kids just turned 9 so they are on the younger side for a 4-hour Trip, so we opted for the 2-hr “kids” trip. Dalton does a great job of making sure the kids catch fish and stay interested. We caught Red Fish, Trout, Skip Jack, Catfish etc . It is all about setting the tone/interest for future fisherman. Our next trip we will bump up to a 4hr trip . Highly recommend Captain Dalton.
