We had a fantastic time on this fishing charter with our two 6-year-olds. The captain and crew were incredibly patient and helpful with the kids, making sure they felt comfortable and involved the whole trip. Even though the weather was a bit rough that day, they did a great job finding calmer water where the fishing was still excellent. We caught some really nice fish, and the kids especially loved line fishing—they had an absolute blast. Highly recommend for families looking for a fun and memorable experience on the water!

I am an avid fisherman and rarely get the chance to fish the saltwater in a boat. After looking for charters for our vacation I found Antonino. Me and my family had a hard time choosing what trip to take. We were going to do the 4hr big game AM but Antonio recommended the coastal. Apparently the big game hadn’t been very good at all lately. Sometimes the shortish are hard to find. So we agreed to the coastal and had a blast. We trolled to the spot and caught lots of barracuda. We then started bottom fishing and I landed a hard-fighting triggerfish rig hit away. Awesome experience for both a fisherman or someone wanting a fun experience. Would highly recommend!

Captain Adriano and his mate worked well as a team to help us land several species of nearshore fish (Grouper, barracuda, triggerfish and sea bream). We went with the combination trolling/bottom fishing 4 hour trip which was recommended by the Captain at that time. They also go out for larger offshore species (Tuna, marlin, etc.) but they can be seasonal so go with what the Captain suggests. He also extended the trip for us so we could catch a large triggerfish (and we did) which we have never tasted before. Upon return we only kept the fish we could eat (filleted) and the rest the Captain gave to people he knows who really appreciate the gift. We highly recommend fishing on the Ratinho and we will certainly go out again when we return to Sao Miguel.

This was a fantastic fishing trip. The captain and crew made sure everyone was comfortable. we caught a ton of fish and go to enjoy the beautiful coastline. My wife and son were worried about seasickness but it was not an issue. The captain stayed in calm waters and everyone had a blast.
