We faced difficult water conditions on the morning of our trip (significant drop in water temperature). James lived up to the challenge and got us into king salmon and lake trout. We filled our cooler! Back home we fired up the smoker and followed the recipe from James’ web page. This was the best smoked fish fillets we ever had!

Captain James, We want to thank you again for an excellent outing and adventure on Lake Superior last Thursday.  The weather- superb. The fishing- excellent. Your skill and experience- remarkable.  You put us on some nice fish.  This was one of the highlights of our vacation. 1000 thanks from the Johnson family.

Thanks for a great day James. So good with the kids as well as adults. The “Google Pin” was perfect for finding the Marina. Loved that there wasn’t. A long ride to the fish. Fish were right outside the marina. So, a 4-hour trip was 3:45 of fishing. Thanks James and we’ll be back!

We had a great time and quickly got on the fish! Captain James did everything to make sure the trip went as smooth as possible. He was very informed on where to go, and made sure we knew what to do to get to our count. Could not have asked for a better day out!
