We had a great time with captain Sam, I’m so glad I found this charter! He was patient and a great instructor for my kids (6 and 9), clear about rules and what to do and when. His communication every step of the way was fantastic, we always knew what to expect. He knows so very much and answered all our curious questions about fish and conditions and fisherman habits. Even though the fish weren’t biting like crazy they were good enough for us, and he did a great job of not keeping us too long in one spot if there was nothing biting there so my kids didn’t get too bored. Great ride, very knowledgeable, very nice, he made sure we all had a great time, even my 6 year old who wasn’t quite strong enough for bass fishing but loved catching and then watching the mackerel. We’ll definitely be back next summer!

We had an absolutely amazing day fishing Boston Harbor with Captain Sam! From start to finish, the experience was top-notch. The action was nonstop — we caught plenty of striped bass, with a great mix of sizes. The slot for keepers was 28” to 31”, and we caught fish above and below that — including one massive 50-pounder that I’ll never forget. A true once-in-a-lifetime catch!

Captain Sam clearly knows these waters like the back of his hand. He knew exactly where to go and how to put us on fish. His boat was clean, well-equipped, and he made the trip both productive and fun. We hit our limit of keepers and had a blast doing it.

I can’t recommend Captain Sam enough. If you’re looking to fish Boston Harbor and want a guide who delivers — this is your guy. We’ll definitely be back again!

Booked a half day fishing trip with Captain Sam over a long weekend trip to Boston and had a great time. 

Didn’t have a car, so Captain Sam arranged to pick us up at Liberty Wharf in Boston which was much easier for us to get to.  Within 4 minutes of fishing, my son caught his first striped bass and possibly the biggest fish he’s ever caught in his life.  We caught several more throughout the afternoon and had a great time.
