Catching live bait a the FAD’s was fun already then trying for Dorado’s but nothing happened. We saw a big Tuna Jump out the water as it was chasing baitfish so quickly switched tactics. Captain Kevin and Crew were onto it, watching the birds etc. My first Tuna smashed the surface popper and then dived deep, I got a good workout pulling it up even with the quality gear they provide. Yellowfin 72kg!! then another one 62kg that fought even harder. Captain gave me Dorada fillets the next day to pan fry yesterday and my wife is making us a nice Creamy Coconut Curry today. Great experience!

My son and I did a “mum and son trip” for his 13th birthday and he loves fishing. whilst he is used to river and dam fishing, deep sea is always an amazing experience. Despite a slow start, 4 hours in, Kevin and his crew spotted some birds and within a few minutes both my son and I caught 3 Mahi Mahi and then later a a fourth one! It was truly phenomenal to really experience a Mahi Mahi catch, let alone 4! Thank you Kevin and crew! We were also lucky enough to take one of the four fish back to our hotel which we enjoyed as fish and chips 🤩

This was my second trip out with Captain Kevin and his crew and I took along a friend whom had previously been on a fishing trip not boked through Fishing booker and had caught nothing! Needless to say the expertise of Captain Kevin ensured that there were some fish ticked off our bucket lists with a great haul
of Dorado who put up a good fight! This really topped off our time in Mauritius and would highly reccomend booking Coeur De Lion via fishing booker they really are the best and their expertise in knowing where the fish are is fantastic.

Once in a lifetime trip with Captain Kevin.

The trip started at 04:45 when Captain Kevin picked me up from my hotel. We arrived at his boat just before 05:00. We boarded the boat and the trio began, a short ride out to the first spot where we started jigging and trawling for tuna with the assistance of his crew. Not long after starting a few skipjack tuna were caught. This was within an hour of the trip starting.
We then spent some time trawling and caught more skipjack tuna, later on a we caught a couple of fellow fin tuna.
By early morning Captain Kevin informed myself we were now trying for mahi mahi, we pushed out into deeper water approx 1hr. From that point Captain Kevin located groups of sea birds to which he determined the best point to cast a line. We repeated this process over the next few hours catching 3 mahi mahi, of which this was my first.

A truly once in a lifetime experience, the crew under the supervision of Captain Kevin were faultless in assisting myself and knowledge of the waters.

If you’re after big game fishing, Captain Kevin is certainly the guy to go to. I would 100% recommend.
