Carlos and Ricardo were very nice. The fishing was not good but we caught 3 mahi mahi

5 Hour Trip – Inshore4 adults

Carlos and Ricardo were nice. First we tried trolling with large bait but no fish. Then moved to catch sardines, then tried the abandoned fish farm with sardines with no luck again. By this time, we had been on the water for 4.5 hours and they were going to quit. I asked them if we could stay out a little while longer and try something different. We trolled with top water baits at a faster speed near the abandoned fish farm and caught 3 mahi mahi in 30 minutes. Then we went in and they cleaned the fish. We spent 90 minutes moving from spot to spot, 30 minutes catching sardines and 3 hours fishing. Not a great fishing experience, but not a bad one either. I would recommend this team again. 2 adults, 2 teenage boys fishing, 2 teenage girls just along for the ride.

    Full Day Trip – Inshore • 2 adults

    This was a dream trip of mine for a long time. The crew worked their tails off to make sure me and the wife got put onto fish and had an absolute blast. Managed to land my very first Snook ever and it was a monster of a fish! The wife has almost zero fishing experience and they were very helpful directing her how to land a beautiful rooster.The guys were friendly, engaging, and overall very pleasant to be around for a full day trip. Would highly recommend, and if I ever make it back to Quepos I will be calling Ricardo for another adventure!

    Awesome fishing trip

    Half day inshore afternoon • 5 adults

    Our family of five had a great half day inshore fishing with Captain Ricardo and Carlos. They were welcoming, professional and competent. They took us to where the action was and we were soon catching fish! Using light tackles and top lures, we caught over 15 mahi mahi and nearly caught 5-6 more over only 3 hours! Carlos then filletted the fish and the crew treated us to the freshest mahi mahi sashimi you will ever have. Our girls and we had a great time and the best fishing trip ever!

    Half day trip with Captain Carlos

    Half day inshore afternoon

    We had the most wonderful experience with Captain Carlos, Raúl and Mariana. The objective of our trip was to learn and experience fishing with and experimented crew, and we were not disappointed. Every question we had, the crew was able to answer with plenty of detail and in friendly manner. We definitely enjoyed every minute of the experience, and would be more than happy to repeat this experience, hopefully a full day next time.

    Excellent in every way

    3/4 Day Trip – Inshore • 2 adults

    This is the guide to use. The Captain, Ricardo, and his mate are both so friendly, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, helpful, and hard working to make sure you have the best chance at catching fish. The boat is beautiful and clean. They are organized and always prepared. I’m an avid fisherman and I work on a charter boat so I can attest to their dedication. I would recommend this charter for anyone, from a family of first timers to seasoned anglers. Ricardo and crew have you hands on and actually doing the fishing, while they provide instructions, as opposed to some other charters I’ve been on where the crew does all the work and just hands you the rod when a fish is hooked and say now reel it in. We caught many fish and a great variety, and not just little nuisance fish. Ricardo targeted and we caught rooster fish, snappers, snook, mahi, and many others. Even if we had not caught fish I would give a 5 star review because the effort they put in to make sure you have a great day and the best opportunity to catch fish was very evident. We will be going with him again during our stay.

    Challenging, but perseverance paid off

    3/4 Day Trip – Inshore • 2 adults

    Started off easily catching sardines for live bait, we meandered down the coastline to an area right off the beach that appeared to look very snooky. Then, my friend felt the bite with Captains Ricardo and Carlo knowing exactly what to do manipulating the boat and guiding my friend to land his first Rooster. Not too long after, bam! The reel screamed off. I picked up the pole from the rod holder. It’s what I came for! Mr. Snook took a couple leaps with a valiant effort to try to free himself darting in all directions. Not to be bestest, I successfully brought him next to the boat as Ricardo lowered the net. In the meantime, from behind Ricardo, Carlo beat Ricardo to the punch as he sank a gaff into the fat. 20 pounder. Mission accomplished!
