ive booked many trips with Dustin over the years both open water and hard water fishing.  Ive got to say I know he is the best guide in the Brainerd lakes area. He has top of the line equipment all the way from boat down to the hooks he uses for his trips. Also Dustin is very knowledgeable about fish patterns and how fish act during weather conditions. Dustin will do everything he can do to get you on good quality fish but its still up the fish to bite lol Dustin will teach you different techniques how to land fish successfully.  Once you hook on to a fish of any size he will walk you through step by step(especially bigger fish) to successfully land it followed up with smiles and fist bumbs. Dustin gets just as excited for his clients to catch fish as you would. If you have younger children Dustin is awesome with them also. Lots of patience and will help 100% for children to be successful too.

So recently I asked Dustin to help me with beating my old person best walleye of 24 inches.  And let’s just say with his help and knowledge we smashed that PB with a big beautiful 28 inch walleye so thanks again Dustin

Over all if you are looking to get out fishing and have fun adventure on the water i highly highly recommend Dustin.
Hawg Hunterz is the guide service I use and I will be using him for many more fun and exciting trips again.

Dustin Monson is a fantastic guide and even a better human being! I spent two days with Dustin and my elderly father fishing for Northern Pike, Walleye, and Pan Fish. Dustin was patient and very helpful with my father, even put him on a Muskie and I know I will never hear the end of it! Dustin has fantastic equipment and was proficient in finding fish and keeping us on them. We had an amazing time, Dustin has top of the line equipment, a great personality and tons of knowledge. He put us on all the fish we wanted to catch! 10/10 will use him again!
