Full day trip on Thaisa II
Very disappointed first of all I explained to the guy I booked the trip with it was our 30th Anniversary and that I would like it to be good. I have been on quite a few chartered fish trips.I told him I would like to go out to possibly to catch a sailfish or Marlin and also some other species.I booked a full day knowing that from other chartered trips this is what it would take to possibly get what I was looking for.The first thing I noticed when I went to the boat was the obvious disrepair and condition of the boat the fishing rods and reels were not in good shape. When it did come time to reel in a fish the top guide on rod was spinning around loose. The sea was rough and we came in early. The following day my wife and I went to a local fishing tackle shop only to learn the boats these people have are know to be what I experienced, said to only be in it for the money!!!.The Captain on the boat never even introduced himself to us,The mate Joel was a nice and it seems he tries to do the best with what he has. Also I was given a contact person who knows little to nothing about fishing,Joel told me I should have been in contact with him about fishing condition's because it was extremely rough many close 10 ft swells. He said Tuesday or Wednesday would have been better not as much wind. When I have booked other charter's I was called prior to going out and warned of these conditions and was able to elect to go or reschedule, but this was not our experience. If you are only in it for the money this is how it was. Would not recommend this boat for Aruba fishing

Hi John, It is unfortunate to hear about your experience on our charter trip and we are happy to hear that at least you had a good experience with Joel. We do want to address something that you mentioned in your review. Our company has been operating for almost 15 year (comes with experience and knowledge) and we've had our best times and our worst, however our service has always been one of the best on the Island. Therefore your statement 'we are in it just for the money' is not the best way to go about it especially going on what you've heard from someone else (most probably a competitor or a friend of such / or even our colleagues) . We've always humbled ourselves and gave the best service we possibly can. But in this journey, we've also learned that we cannot please everyone and it saddens us that it had to be your experience. We do apologize if the captain may have offended you in anyway and for any inconvenience we may have cost you. We hope you do (did) enjoy the rest of your vacation and we hope you have a better experience on one of the other great charters Aruba has to offer.
