Wow what a great guide and fishing!  Told Capt. Nano my goal was to catch a bonefish. Well, we hooked over a dozen bonefish, boated 10 of them and caught a permit.  We went for tarpon very briefly but have caught them before.  My tarpon bait was cut off by a very large cuda and was time to head home.  Very patient and taught me how to fly fish but caught all the fish on spinning gear.  Unfortunately, my first date with the capt. was canceled by flight issues with AA.

Captain Nano is a most patient man! My   daughter (30) and I (62) went on a 1/2 day fishing trip this morning! We have no experience with ocean fly fishing and Nano worked with us teaching us the basic skills. He explained each part of the technique and the importance of the instructions he was giving. He made the learning fun and he repeated and repeated and had us repeat until we were able to show him that we could do it!  His teaching is so clear and he made learning fun and WE CAUGHT BONE FISH!!! A very nice gentleman, a cool and clean boat and equipment, and an awesome morning on the beautiful water! You can tell Captain Nano enjoys what he does!  THANK YOU CAPTAIN NANO! We hope to be back again!

Nano was a great guide that was able to find me all the bonefish I could want, and was very patient with all the mistakes I made.  I’ve heard people say “it ain’t trout fishing” and they are so right.  He gave me pointers on my cast that helped immensely.  His directions as to where to cast and when to strip or pause were on the money. We stumbled on a school of permit, but a bonefish took the fly. I would never have thought I’d be upset to catch a bonefish. Although it was at the end of my half day excursion, he stayed around a little longer to maybe end the trip with a permit. That tells me Nano cares about making sure your trip is the best one he can provide.

Captain Nano was exactly what I read about him in previous reviews before I came to Belize. I when out with him for a full day of fishing in the Belizian flats around San Pedro. He was knowledgeable, reserved, calm, he kept his eyes opened trying to locate fish the whole day, not giving up until the day was over. It was my first time flyfishing the salt water and the flats. We landed some good size barracudas, we also got some crazy size fish cutting the line a couple of times, and more towards the day after working with Nano on my casting, I was able to land some bones, which was amazing! So powerful and fast! We spotted some Tarpoon as well, but did not catch them, we did not see any Permits at all!! All and all I had an amazing time out there and learned a lot with Capt Nano. I would most definitely taking him out again the next time!

My wife and I had a great time fishing with Nano for two half-day trips.  We are both experienced fly anglers, but this was our first time on the saltwater flats.  Nano took the time to patiently help with our casting and finding bonefish. 

We boated several bonefish on our first day, but things were a little slower on our second day with some heavy winds and picky fish.  But both days he put us on a ton of fish and even stayed out a little longer on day two for some more chances.  If you want to get on fish with lots of shots, Nano is your guide.
