Good trip.

Windy day and tough fishing for everyone on the water but Randy put us on the fish right away.  6 keeper Reds (1 over 28) within the first hour and a half and had almost as many we didn’t land.  Randy then took us to various other spots where we continued to catch a variety of species and good fighting smaller Redfish.  There is no substitute for a guide that knows where the fish are going to be and can produce in lousy conditions.  Do yourself a favor and book with Captain Filla on your next Aransas trip.

Randy prefaced the day saying that it had been a hard week to catch fish, with the full moon they hadn’t been biting. But he worked hard for us, taking us to several spots. Finally we landed on some Reds the last hour and we’re able to pull 3 nice ones. We had a great time and would recommend.

This was our first ever Bay fishing trip and it was a blast!! Great guide and he put us on fish in almost every spot we went to. We limited out in just under 6 hours with 5 bait fish left in the live well. We caught plenty that were just under the legal size and a couple that were to big. I highly recommend booking a trip! He helped my 14 year old son with the process on how to fish as it is completely different from the bass fishing he was used to.

Captain Randy is very friendly and accommodating. His equipment is top-notch as well as his knowledge of the local waters. We caught some great fish. Our group of 3 anglers had an amazing time!
Don’t bring large bags or coolers, just bring what you need. We used the cooler bags for drinks and snacks…no issues. Also, sunscreen and bug spray are requirements. The mosquitos were out right at sun-up and were after us pretty good but they went away as the sun came up fully. I’d still recommend the bug spray. Polarized sunglasses are nice but not necessary.
