Edgar was amazing 👏
Great trip, a perfect 10

We hit a bit of a slow day. Nobody was catching a lot of fish. But it was clear he knew what he was doing

Edgar is an excellent captain.  He was already at the boat when we arrived early and we left a few minutes early.  He took us to catch live bait just out of the marina before we headed out to the Sea of Cortez to look for Yellowtail Amberjack.  Shortly after dropping our first bait down (we got to drop to the bottom and jig, instead of boring old trolling) and we were hooked up to a big Yellowtail shortly after.  Edgar would put us on a few more yellowtail before the bite slowed down, and then he took us to bonitos and skipjack tunas which were fun fights.  Edgar told us it was the slow season but he knew exactly where to take us to the action and we fished until we were worn out.  Edgar also provided smoked marlin and pork burritos for us on the boat and some drinks.  The boat was more than comfortable enough for the 3 of us.  He was also kind enough to filet the fish for us before taking us back.  You get the full fishing experience with Edgar from dropping the live baits to the bottom, speed jigging, jigging, sabiki fishing for bait, bringing the fish on the boat, etc.  It is very hands on and tons of fun.  Much respect to Edgar and hopefully I will return to La Paz some day to fish with Edgar again.  For english speakers, Edgar’s english was quite good and easy to understand.  He also has a good sense of humor.

Captain Edgar was friendly, was so knowledgeable about fishing in the area, had excellent English,  and made us an amazing lunch. We landed 2 Grouper, a Snapper and Rooster fish which Captain Edgar filetted and sent home with us. We had multiple hook-ups with Yellow Tail, but weren’t able to land them. Saw breaching Humpback Whales, and ended up staying out longer than we were booked for as Captain Edgar wasn’t watching the clock, just wanted to ensure we had a good experience. We rated this experience 5/5 in all categories - would have given it a 10 if we could!

We had a great time with captain Edgar. He put us on to our first Dorado and we let my 10 year old son fight him. We also caught lots of skipjack Tuna. My son has been talking about catching that Dorado for days now and we will have that memory forever.
