WORST deep sea fishing experience ever!! DID NOT go offshore as we paid for (over $1k):
-False Advertisement - Not Offshore but only fishing by the shore line with Kayakers, .5 to 1 mile deep the most. Look at photos of booking itinerary. Should be: 6-30 miles offshore targeting Dorado, Blue fin, Yellow fin, Yellowtail, Halibut, and Bass. -Only went after Bass and Halibut by shoreline.

-Did Not target Dorado, Blue and Yellow fin Tuna, Yellowtail as what we wanted!!!!

-Ask Captain Conner when are we going to chase Big fish, he replied “waiting for other boats to report back if they catch any before we go try”; “the communication is breaking I (Cap Conner) can not hear because they are too far”. Well duh, we are by the shore! We did not pay to Wait! We would be happy to at least chase and be empty handed at the end of the day. Captain was friendly, but not professional. Not straight with us for the fish we wanted to target.

-No toilet on an Offshore 7 hrs fishing excursion boat. Knew something fishy when first noticed because boat not rigged for offshore. Feel bad for the kids and ladies who have gone fishing on this boat.

-Capt. Conner did put us on fish: Calico, sand bass, vermilion. But don’t waste time and Money!! You can get this same fishing experience with the large much cheaper Charter boats: 1/3 the cost with much more amenities on board (bathroom, eating tables, and a snack snack: can buy snacks).

-Minor issue but booking did say drinks were provided!  At least water. Good thing we came prepared for Offshore. Just didn’t go offshore.

-Still Tipped 15% and two Heineken because we are fishermen and felt bad for Captain.

-Definitely Do Not Recommend booking, and will not be booking Dana Point Sportfishing in future.
