Carlos and Pablo ran a great short trip for my wife and me. We booked a 4 hour trip last minute the night before, and would recommend a similar trip to anyone. Pablo put out 5 weighted and skirted rigs on Penn 130s, and trolled almost out of the harbor for the rest of the afternoon. He put us on the shelf/drop off and we found some birds working and what looked like albacore tuna breaking/jumping on the surface. Followed the school around for a bit with no luck. Came about two miles closer in to shore and got a bite on the center line. Pablo cleared the lines quickly and I got in the chair after the initial run. After about 15 minutes got the fish to the boat, was an approximately 45”/60+ lb yellowfin! The guys did a great job wrangling the fish, gaffing, and dressing the fish on the boat. That was the only fish of the day for us, but it was a good day overall. Carlos made sure we were having a good time and wanted to talk shop/fishing as much as I did! I’d recommend anyone to head out with them.
