We went shark fishing. We didn’t catch a shark but he went above and beyond to ensure we had a good trip. We caught just about everything else tho which was awsome. red snapper, pink lady, blue fish, squirrel fish, mackerel, and hardfin. we filled the tags on snapper 2 a piece it was a great trip. Captain Richard Russel was a super nice guy very helpful and patient. like i said we may not have caught a shark but we caught like 16 other fish me and my little brother had a great time and we’ll definitely book again!

Captain Ritchie was very nice, he welcomed us aboard his boat and treated us like family. The whole trip was easygoing and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. We were a group of first time anglers and he was patient with us and helped us land some fish. I was personally looking to land a shark, but it was not a good time of year to catch one. Despite that, Captain Ritchie did his best to make my wish come true. We didn’t catch one this time, but I’m confident I could come back in the Summer and he would help me get the job done. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun deep sea fishing trip!

Captain Richie made sure that my grandkids caught fish. We had a 5-hour trip and we caught our first fish within the first hour. Caught 11 Spanish Mackerel, several Hard Tails, and 3 Bonita. I even caught a 6’ Blacktip shark. We will definitely use Russell’s Coastal Fishing again next year!
i enjoyed meetingnand taking upu and those wonderful grand children fishing . I enjoyed watching smiles from Ava kate and Cooper reeling in fish during the trip. much appreciated and thankyou all for allowing me to take you fishing on your vacation
my son and i went out with captain Russel today . its was one of if not the best trip i’ve ever been on . No stress , lots of knowledge . it seem like we was fishing with a long time family friend. The day we went was his birthday and it was like he had rather fish than celebrate . i would highly recommend booking a trip with him , i know I sure will . Thanks for the great day full of memories ,it wouldn’t have been the same out you captin Russel .

Our family of five wanted a day on the water and to catch some fish. We caught 12-15 Mackerel (I stopped counting after awhile) then Captain Richie changed out the tackle for some shark fishing. Fifteen minutes later it got real. First my son battled for 20 minutes and then passed it off to me. I only lasted 15 minutes, maybe, and had to give it back to him. When the fight was over, 45 minutes later, we had the greatest, up close view of a 13’, 800 pound tiger shark. My arms are still shaking 4 hours later. Captain Richie delivered on some great memories for our family. We will see him again on our next trip to Gulf Shores.
