Half Day Fishing Excursion4 adults

Fishing with Henry was exactly what I was looking for - low key and simple. Henry has a local boat with no frills - no electronics, basic tackle and no cushions - but well equipped with a good engine and great instincts. He does know how to fish! He uses the mountains in the distance to triangulate his fishing spots and knows when and where to fish with the fleet and when not to. He has good cold beer and water available and cuts up pineapple like none other. It was a great trip and I would highly recommend and would gladly take again. If you need leather couches and caviar - this is not for you!

    An unforgettable fishing adventure with Captain Henry!

    Half Day Fishing Excursion • 2 adults

    My wife and I had an absolutely amazing time fishing with Captain Henry in Tamarindo! From the moment we got on the boat, we could tell we were in great hands. Captain Henry was incredibly friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable — you can really see how experienced he is and how much he knows about fishing and the area. What made the trip even more exciting was that we caught a sailfish just 5 minutes after arriving at the fishing spot! It was such an incredible moment and something we will never forget. Even though the ocean was quite rough and the waves were strong on the way out, Captain Henry stayed calm, confident, and in control the entire time, which made us feel safe and comfortable. It was definitely a little scary at moments, but also part of the adventure — and we absolutely loved the experience! This trip was one of the highlights of our time in Tamarindo, and it gave my wife and me such a fun and unforgettable memory together. If you’re thinking about booking a fishing trip in Tamarindo, we highly recommend going with Captain Henry. You won’t regret it!

    Henry was amazing from the very beginning. Despite difficult conditions — it was extremely windy — he did everything he could to make sure we had a great time. We only caught one fish, but given how unfavorable the conditions were, we were still very happy to have landed that catch. Afterward, Henry took us near a beach so we could enjoy the shoreline and do a bit of snorkeling. He prepared sashimi with the tuna we caught earlier, along with fresh pineapple and various refreshments. It was such a nice touch and allowed us to enjoy the experience even more. We did have a small payment issue due to a miscommunication on the app, but Henry was very understanding and flexible. Sorry again for the inconvenience, and thank you for everything, Henry! Pura Vida 🌴🐟

    Yellowfin Tuna Paradise

    Snorkel Tour -3-4 beaches • 2 adults

    My girlfriend and I had a great time going out on the water with Captain Henry. We originally wanted to do fishing + snorkeling, but the weather didn’t cooperate (heavy storms overnight = murky water), so we just stuck to fishing. We hooked up pretty quickly - Captain Henry knew exactly where to go to catch some nice tuna. We caught a total of 13 fish over 4 hrs, including 9 yellowfin tuna, 3 skipjack tuna, and 1 rainbow runner. My arms got tired after reeling in fish after fish. We also saw some cool wildlife including sea turtles, dolphins, and sea snakes. Overall was a great experience, Captain Henry is a funny guy with a good attitude. Would highly recommend!

    Great trip, lots of wildlife, fun fishing, great captain

    Captain Henry is a very knowledgeable and patient captain. He has great command of his gear and helps newcomers like my wife and I get very comfortable around his gear as well. He got us on the fish right away and knew the water very well. It was a bonus to see sea turtles and dolphins while we were out with him. We did a half day trip, but was really impressed by the haul we came back with

    Had an amazing time with King Henry! On half-day trip with daughter and son (in 20s) and on a windy day we caught 6 Skipjack tuna and 70 to 75lb Roosterfish!!! Captain Henry is an expert at his craft with a feel for the fish. Thank you for the lifetime memory!!!!
