Caught 24lbs of fish on a slow day. Alex did an excellent job finding fish and knew where all the good spots were. He is an excellent teacher for our first time fishing for drum fish, but we also caught several other species of fish. My girl caught the motherload, and I caught a lady. My 3 nephews and I booked an am trip with Captain Alex. He was super informative and helped my nephews perfect their skills. Alex was great to fish with; he was knowledgeable about where and how to fish.  He had us casting like pros by the end of the trip.  He was quick with new bait and a line repair when needed. We caught 9 keeper reds and we threw back just as many that were just under the required size. We got back to dock late and Alex cleaned our catch and gave us helpful suggestions on how to cook and prep the fillets. I’ll keep this simple, if you want to catch fish then you need to spend a day with Captain Xander on the Bay. Very friendly, especially with younger kids. Knows where to find the fish and takes time to instruct first time anglers so they can enjoy the excitement of catching the big one! Had a great time and cannot wait to do it again.
