Fort Morgan Amberjack Fishing Charters

Fishing the waters in and around the Chicken Coop, reefs, wrecks, bridges, and underwater structure for Mahi Mahi, Snapper, Amberjack, Wahoo, Cobia, King and Spanish Mackerel, Triggerfish, Grouper, and many more. If you're after Snapper, keep in mind that those can only be kept on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during the summer months.

This trip will take you stalking the inshore, bay or intercoastal waters near Fort Morgan. The species targeted will mainly be Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Sheepshead, Mangrove Snappers, and others. All required equipment is provided by the charter.

Your lines will be in the water after about half an hour of traveling to the best fishing spot. Most trips will start with catching live bait – please let the captain know before your trip if you'd prefer for this to be purchased beforehand. The species you'll target depend on the season, and may include Jack Crevalle, Kingfish, Amberjack, Cobia, Redfish, Tripletail, and whatever else is biting. When you return to the marina, your captain will clean your catch.

The 12-hour trip is a true sunrise-to-sunset offshore experience for groups ready to commit to a full day on the Gulf. With a mix of trolling and bottom fishing, the longest fishing windows, and time to settle in and let the day unfold, this trip offers a fully immersive offshore day. The Offshore Gulf of Mexico gives you flexibility fishing wherever you want to. You can go after offshore species on this morning trip as well. Go bottom fishing or trolling 1 to 9 miles off the coast. You can catch Snapper, Kingfish, Amberjack, Spanish Mackerel, and many more.

Come join the crew on this fun offshore trip. Depending on the season and migration of fish, we will be targeting Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Cobia, and Trigger along with a few others. You can also try for Shark to add in some excitement and a great photo opportunity. All bait, license, tackle, and fish cleaning are included.

This all-day trip is perfect for the avid angler. Along with chasing huge Red Snapper, you and the crew will also target various Grouper species and Vermilion Snapper as well as troll for Wahoo.

Starting May 24th, 2023. Red Snapper season will be open and we will be filling up the boat with these big, delicious, and aggressive reef fish. We can bring them home Fri-Mon. If you are not concerned with stocking your freezer we can also fish tues-thurs catch and release. We will catch other saltwater species as well such as Cobia, King Mackerel, and Grouper. We start the trip at a private dock, and shortly after introductions head south. It is about a 15-mile run to underwater reefs.
