This trip comes with more emphasis on bottom fishing. We troll with heavy gear on the way out, catching anything from King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, and Blackfin Tuna to Cobia. At the reef, we will drift line and drop line fish for Snapper (including Red Snapper when in season), Amberjack, Trigger and more.
Trophy Red Snapper season is one of the most popular fish in the Pensacola area. This trip will specifically target red snappers. Starting out with catching baits outside the jetties, then heading out to various wrecks and reef sites to target the trophy snappers often found in our area. Season dates begin Memorial weekend and extend through July 31st daily. Then after September 1st we will have two additional weeks along with every Friday-Sunday through November to target and keep Red Snapper.

Caption Jake put us on the fish we cought are limit of ren snapper and a few other species. I would definitely recommend this trip. We will be going back again.
Jake was knowledgeable, smart, accommodating, and over all super cool and nice. We've been fishing on charters off the emerald coast from Destin to Gulf Shores for close to 30 years, Jake made a great impression and I fully plan to book with him again next summer. Haven't met a genuine guy and captain like that in several years. 20 stars out of 10
Captain Clay definitely knows his trade! He worked so hard making sure our family had a wonderful experience on our chatrter. He even allowed us extra time on the water until we had each pulled in some fish.
Filled the bucket with mackerel - and grilled them that night. Captain Clay found several spots, and we came up with something each time, but mackerel was the big hitter today! Even hit live bait dragging temporarily in the water!
Thanks, Captain Clay!
