Traverse City Smallmouth Bass Fishing Charters

On this light tackle/hands-on fishing trip, we'll be cruising around the beautiful Grand Traverse Bay looking for lake trout & cisco. In May and June we look towards the shoreline and shallow reefs holding fish by casting and retrieving jigs or blade baits back to the boat. Then once the water warms, fish will then push put to deep water/reefs for the remainder of summer. At that point we will begin our vertical jigging charters and what a riot this tactic is!

A 3/4 day trip brings you 6 hours on the water. The trips typically start at 7:00 a.m. or 8:00 a.m. depending on your choice and will return at 1:30 p.m. or 2:30 p.m. respectively. Afternoon and evening trips are also available upon your request with negotiable starting times.

Start off trolling for Salmon and Trout and end the trip bottom fishing for delicious Rock bass. I will clean all silver fish and up to 10 Rock bass. After 10 its $2 per Rock bass.

A full day on the water. This trip is set up for those just getting into it. A full day gives plenty of time for instruction for new anglers or experienced anglers looking to learn a thing or two from an experienced guide.

This is a great trip to go on if you're a first-time angler or you're looking for a family trip in the afternoon. Guide Brad will go over the basic gear and knowledge that you'll need to hook your first fish, and then you'll go fishing the upper parts of the river. Beauties like Brown Trout, Steelhead, Chinook, and Coho Salmon are all in the cards. Bring your fishing license with you, as well as drinks and snacks.
