Chester Striped Bass Fishing Charters

During the summer rock fishing season, anglers may keep 1 fish per person with a minimum size of 19 inches. Bottom fishing for Spot and Perch and trolling for Bluefish and Spanish Mackerel may also happen during this season.

You will leave the dock around 1:00 p.m. for 6 hours of fishing on the beautiful Chesapeake Bay. You will target Rockfish by trolling, chumming, live-lining, as well as bottom fishing. You will return to the dock around 7:00 p.m. Light snacks and bottled water are provided. NOTE: 20% gratuity for the mate is customary and not included in the price of the charter. Departure and return times may vary.

This is a one angler and guide trip. Great opportunity to “tune up” your casting and fly-fishing skills. You will be the only one fishing and have the boat to yourself. We will be fishing our Hewes 21 Redfisher. It is equipped with Garmin electronics (Hummingbird side scan coming this spring), a 300HP Yamaha and a Motor Guide trolling motor. Rod holders…GOT THEM!!! Room for 8 fly rods plus tons of storage. Bring you own equipment or use all our latest ORVIS rods.

May 16th-December 10th. We leave the dock between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. and fish for 5-6 hours. The trip price is $650 + 25% tip for the mate. (Trip is for up to 6 guest) We guarantee a good time on the Rowe Boat!

Afternoon fishing trip.

The 6-hour trip is the suggested trip for those looking for a complete Chesapeake Bay experience. It allows enough time to catch plenty of fish even if we have to run far to get them. This trip allows you the best bang for your buck especially if you want to target Striped Bass. Note: The trip departure time may vary depending on weather, tides, and sunrise times. Captain will confirm times prior to trip. Fishing techniques depends on season, and fish species that will be targeted.

Winter catch and release trips is the new light tackle trophy season. These can be some of the most epic days on the water. Some of the biggest fish is caught during this season. Also, these trips are not for the faint of heart due to the colder conditions on the open bay in an open boat. Come dressed for the weather. Max 4-5 persons. Launch times and location will vary depending on weather conditions and bite.

Full day trips are approximately 8 hours of fishing and includes fishing license, rod, reel, tackle, bait and or lures, fish filleting and packaging. All you need to bring is food and drinks. May 16- December 10 is this years fish season. Limits are set at 1 fish per person 19"-24".
