Australia Coral Trout Fishing Charters

Full Day reef fishing on the Great Barrier Reef. Be at the Pier Cafe for check-in at 6:00 am. The vessel returns between 3:30pm and 4:00 pm. We provide quality, well-maintained fishing equipment, bottled drinking water and a delicious buffet-style lunch of selected meats, salads, bread rolls. Afternoon tea of a fruit and prawn platter is also served. We clean, ice and bag your catch for you to take home. Just bring a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses and cash for onboard purchases.

Fishing the coastal reefs, Shawry will share with you some tips and tricks he has learned form over 20 years in the local commercial and charter industry. Using a range of techniques we will be targeting Coral Trout, Sweetlip, Fingermark, Cod and more..

You will travel up to 80km each way to get to the best fishing grounds. The local fishing guide on board will choose the best location to go to depending on the time of year and your preferences. You'll use a variety of techniques, such as jigging, popping, dropping baits and stickbaits. You'll hook Barramundi, Black Jewfish, Red Snapper, and many more. All fishing equipment you'll need for the day is included. Even your fishing license for the day is included in the price, as well as snacks and drinks.

Up to 4 guests can go on this trip and fish the reef and/or the estuary depending on the conditions. Spend 8 hours fishing on the outer reef or in the estuary. Your main targets for the day will be Nannygai, Coral Trout, Trevally, Cobia, and many more – it all depends on where you want to go fishing. Catch bled and bagged.

Quench your thirst for bluewater and join this full day excursion around the area's inshore spots. You'll get to experience popping for GT the inshore islands, and jigging at wrecks and reefs for Coral Trout and Fingermark. If you're after pelagics, you'll be spinning and flats fishing the fringing reefs around our tropical islands. Max 3 guests and a guide for a personalized experience. The places visited and available species may change subject to weather.

On the 10-hour trip, you and the captain will fish in Bynoe Harbour and the surrounding area chasing tropical species including Barramundi, Queenfish, Trevally, and Threadfin Salmon. The trip starts at 8:00 a.m. and comes with all the gear, drinks, as well as lunch.

A maximum of 8 guests. Minimum age 12yo. All equipment, tackle, and bait are supplied. Experienced skipper/owner with 30 years local experience. Departing Port Douglas at 7.30a.m. and returning at 3.30p.m. Catch is bled and bagged. CONDITIONS # Private charters are to be paid in full by 7 days before departure date. # The operator reserves the right to transfer the charter to calm water options, including estuary, in the event weather conditions prevent accessing the reef.
