Alaska Rockfish Fishing Charters

This trip will use 2 hours of the time traveling to and from the Halibut holes located in the Southern area of Lynn Cannel. Halibut regulations require that you only keep one fish less than 44 inches or over 80 inches. Once all fishermen have their one Halibut they want to keep, you will fish for Salmon or Rockfish. The Halibut do not arrive in the Juneau area until June 15. This is not an exclusive charter. The 5% sales tax applies to the amount of remaining balance on the day of the trip.

Spend the morning slow-trolling for big King, Silver, and Pink Salmon in the local waters around Juneau. During peak season, Halibut and Salmon are not far from one another and fishing can be as easy as pulling the anchor and setting out the down riggers! Most trips will start by running to the most productive Halibut grounds. Once the limit is met or guests have had their fill of bottom fishing, we will transition to Salmon fishing. 2025 Halibut Regulations, size/bag limit will be 1 fish per person under 37" or over 80". All five species of Pacific Salmon can be found in the waters surrounding Ketchikan, with overlapping runs from May through October. Generally speaking: Kings (Chinook) run between May and July—but often don't open for retention until mid-June. Sockeye run June-July. Pinks & Chum run July-August. Silvers (Coho) run June-October. Salmon is the main focus but we're happy to change things up! Light tackle jigging is tons of fun, too. We can also target Halibut, for catch-and-release.

This Salmon and Rockfish Combo Trip is a 6 hour option designed for days when halibut fishing is closed but still want time on the water. The trip is especially popular on Tuesdays and Wednesday from June 1- end of season. This charter can accommodate up to 6 anglers making it a good choice for families, small groups and anglers of mixed fishing levels. All rods ,reels, tackle and guidance are included with hands on instruction throughout the trip.
