Our personal favorite trip. We will be running about 55-60 miles out to the gulfstream to troll with heavy tackle for Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi and Sailfish. This trip allows us to travel out to the Atlantic Ocean’s Gulf Stream. This South to North flow of warm water is where some of North Carolina’s most prized fish reside. We’ll be using big tackle to do battle with big fish. Different species are more prominent during different times of the year so be sure to ask if you are looking to target something specifically. A typical 12-hour trip consists of trolling and bottom fishing unless the trolling bite is hot or the group strictly wants to bottom fish.

This trip gets you offshore to target bigger sportfish. Generally, we are fishing between 10 and 25 miles offshore, trolling live bait and bottom fishing. Departure times are flexible. On this trip, we catch King Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, Amberjacks, Cobia, Sea Bass, Grouper, and Barracudas.
