Cooper Landing Sockeye Salmon Fishing Charters

Fish downriver from Skilak Lake, on wider stretches of water within the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge. Target the seasonal runs of Sockeye and Silver Salmon, Dolly Varden, and Rainbow Trout, with the opportunity to see wildlife. Departure location of mile 80 Sterling Hwy. Sterling Alaska. Transportation is available from Cooper Landing. Salmon have daily catch limits and trout and char are catch and release.

Join Jason or Caleb on a full day fishing trip for rainbow trout and Dolly Varden Char. We fish both the Upper and Middle Kenai River June 11 - October 26. Our prime time for the trophy hunters is August 20 - October 26, we have good fishing all season long. Our average Upper River Trout is 16'-20' and the average Middle River fish is 18'-22'. We fish both fly and spin gear using hand-tied flies, hand-painted beads, and conventional gear. We fish out of custom-built drift boats.

Give yourself a full 8 hours on the water and take in everything the Kenai River has to offer! You'll explore the Middle River, the Upper River, or the Kenai River Canyons in search of delicious Salmon and Trout. Your targets will vary depending on the time of year you visit. Make sure to pick up a fishing license beforehand and feel free to bring along any drinks and snacks you'd like to enjoy!

On this trip, you will spend the day drift fishing 8 miles of the Upper Kenai River. This wild area is closed to motors and features incredible fishing opportunities for Salmon, Rainbow Trout, and Dolly Varden. Start times are flexible depending on the season, species, and your needs.

On this trip, you'll head out to the waters of the Kenai River and spend 4 hours trying to reel in a variety of fish species in these waters. The list includes, Silver, Sockeye, and Pink Salmon. All the fishing equipment will be provided for you, so just get a license, some snacks and drinks and hop aboard!

A full day of fishing on the Upper Kenai River. Price includes tax. The price for spectators (non-fishermen) is $175 per person. The price includes sales tax.

Fish the Upper Kenai river for 4 hours, floating the pristine turquoise blue Kenai River waters. We will target Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden, and multiple Salmon species depending on the season. Bring your camera for photos of eagles, moose, and black and brown bears that inhabit this scenic float through the small town of Cooper Landing. Seasonal trip.

You'll be wading (no boat). Salmon fishing in Seward is very unique. We snag Salmon, and the first cast guides do it by seeing the fish, then casting. It's almost like hunting but with a pole. It can be very intense when you're looking for King Salmon and then you see some monsters headed your way. Then it's up to you to snag one, fight it to a rugged beach and land it. This 4-hour trip is seasonal.

Seasonal Salmon Fishing based on what's running. Fishing is typically on the Kenai River from Cooper Landing. You will keep Salmon up to the limit. If Salmon Fishing is done for the day, catch and release Rainbow Trout and Dolly Varden will be taken up afterwards. Up to 4 fishermen per boat.
