Destin Spanish Mackerel Fishing Charters

Great for first-timers that want to get their feet wet in the deep sea fishing experience. You generally have an option to either troll or bottom fish, and your captain will let you know what your best option for success is! These seasonal trips are catch-and-release.

Six-hour trips are the minimum required trip if you want to target Red Snapper (when in season). You need time to travel further away from Destin to have a better chance of catching this fish. You can also do some nearshore trolling for King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Bonito, and. Or bottom fishing for Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Triggerfish, and Porgy. (Shark fishing is also a very exciting option if you would like to try and catch a trophy fish while in Destin.

An exciting adventure out on the bountiful waters of the Gulf of Mexico this trip will have you fighting anything from triggerfish and bonita to King Mackerel. Conditions permitting you will be traveling to several of the thousands of deep sea wrecks and reefs the Destin area has to offer all just a short boat ride away. When the bite is on it isn't uncommon to get epic strikes every cast and reel in that fish you have been waiting for. You'll be complaining about sore arms before the trip's end!

Target Trout, Redfish, Cobia, Kingfish, and many other local species. The captain will prepare your fishing equipment and clean your catch. You just need to pack some snacks and drinks for the day. Keep in mind that children have to be 10 or older to be allowed on the boat.

Your captain will take you to the best fishing spots he knows and try to keep you on the fish as much as possible. Catch and release is strongly encouraged, but you can keep a few for dinner. When the trip is over, Capt. Si will clean and fillet your catch. The minimum is 4 hours, but additional time can be added when available – just ask!

Four-hour trips are usually trolling for fish like Mackerel and Bonita. Occasionally we can get into some bottom fishing on 4 hours, but most of the time it requires a 6+ hour trip.
