Port Douglas Giant Trevally Fishing Charters

This full-day shared charter will have you targeting Barramundi in Cairns Inlet, as well as Queenfish, Mangrove Jack, Fingermark, Giant Trevelly, Threadfin Salmon, Grunter and many more. Trips include fishing equipment and bait. BYO food and drinks. Trips have a maximum of 8 people.

Full Day reef fishing on the Great Barrier Reef. Be at the Pier Cafe for check-in at 6:00 am. The vessel returns between 3:30pm and 4:00 pm. We provide quality, well-maintained fishing equipment, bottled drinking water and a delicious buffet-style lunch of selected meats, salads, bread rolls. Afternoon tea of a fruit and prawn platter is also served. We clean, ice and bag your catch for you to take home. Just bring a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses and cash for onboard purchases.

In his 7m custom built centre console, with a cruising speed of 30 knots, he can get you to the reef in 30 minutes and share some of the tips and tricks he has learned from over 20 years in the local commercial and charter fishing industry. With access to some of the most pristine fishing locations Far North Queensland has to offer, and using a range of techniques, we will be fishing for GT's, Nannygai, Coral Trout, Red Emperor and more..

Up to 4 guests can go on this trip and fish the reef and/or the estuary depending on the conditions. Spend 8 hours fishing on the outer reef or in the estuary. Your main targets for the day will be Nannygai, Coral Trout, Trevally, Cobia, and many more – it all depends on where you want to go fishing. Catch bled and bagged.

Explore some of the areas many mangrove-lined river and estuary systems. Have your expert guide will decide on the best target for the day, taking into account the weather and tides and get after your next prize catch. The guides specialize in targeting Barramundi but this is far from your only option in this rich fishery. In order to ensure a personalized experience, this trip is for a maximum of 2 guests.

A maximum of 5 guests. All equipment, tackle, and bait are supplied. Experienced skipper/owner with 30 years local experience. Departing Port Douglas at 8.00 a.m. and returning at 4.00 p.m. Catch is bled and bagged. CONDITIONS # Private charters are to be paid in full by 10 days before departure date. # The operator reserves the right to transfer the charter to calm water options, including estuary, in the event weather conditions prevent accessing the reef. # The customer may be issued a trip credit.
