North Carolina Bluefin Tuna Fishing Charters

This trip will take you up to 60 miles offshore on the Gulf Stream, where you will find some of the bluest and richest waters on the East Coast, and encounter some of the biggest, strongest, and best eating game fish in the ocean - you never know what you might battle in the Gulf Stream! This is a long all day hardcore trip for the serious fisherman. Targeted species include Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, Blue Marlin, White Marlin, King Mackerel, Cobia, Amberjack, Grouper, Triggerfish, Snapper.

During the months of December, January, February, and March our Bluefin Tuna season takes place. Bluefin is the largest of the Tuna family. Imagine hooking into and fighting a fish over 300+ lbs! If you are looking for the ultimate thrill – this is the trip for you.

This trip will take you fishing nearshore for Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish. You could also try bottom fish on some nearshore reefs and wrecks. Your fishing license and equipment are covered, you only need to bring snacks and drinks for the day. Fish cleaning is available upon request.

On this trip we are looking for giant bluefin tunas. We will normally fish within 15 miles of the beach. Bycatch can consist of false albacore, blackfin tuna, and sharks. The is a specialized trip targeting a once in a lifetime fish.

Trolling and/or Drifting live baits for Giant Bluefin Tuna, with fish ranging from 300-700lbs. No more than 4 persons in your group.

Leave Oregon Inlet and fish all day in the amazing blue waters of the Gulf Stream on a beautiful Blackwell 40' Express boat. Get in the action while catching everything from Tuna (all types) to Mahi Mahi to all types of billfish. Keep in mind the mate works for tips: 15-20% of trip cost. Fish cleaning is provided at an additional cost.

This 9-hour trip is seasonal.

Get ready, we are going to the Gulfstream! When you get to the fishing grounds, be ready to reel in some Tuna, Mahi, Wahoo, and/or Billfish! Pack your own food and drinks and leave the rest to Roanoke Sportfishing!

On full-day trips, we head out of Oregon Inlet, traveling 40–50 miles to the Gulfstream. From May to late September, target mahi, wahoo, black/yellowfin/bigeye tuna, white marlin, sailfish, and the legendary blue marlin. Trips may run slightly longer than 12 hours. All tackle is provided, and we don't leave until the box is full and our customers are smiling. Get ready for an unforgettable OBX fishing adventure!
